This is a marketing site

skakel.app is an information page about Skakel, field service software for South African tradespeople. It does not run an account system, a contact form, a chat assistant, advertising or analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party trackers. This page explains the little personal information that can reach us through it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

If you ask to be notified at launch

The “get early access” option opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. We only receive your email address if you choose to send that email. We use it for one purpose: to tell you when Skakel is open. We do not add you to a newsletter, pass it on, or use it for sales. Ask us at [email protected] to see or delete what you sent, and we will.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process basic, aggregated, non-identifying request data (such as page views and country) as part of delivering and protecting the site. We do not set cookies that require consent.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its processing. Contact [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.

When the Skakel product opens

The pages above describe only this marketing site. When you sign up to use Skakel as software for your service business, Skakel becomes an operator under POPIA s.1 — we process your customers’ personal information on your behalf, and you remain the responsible party for that data. The full product privacy policy will cover the WhatsApp Receptionist data flow, retention, processor relationships and your customers’ rights when the platform opens.

Changes

We may update this page. When we do, we will change the effective date above.
